11 Jun Speakers’ Corner: 50 Shades of Garlic – Chef Jamie Kennedy (11-11:25AM)
Chef Kennedy discusses tips and techniques for eliciting different flavours and intensity from Ontario garlic. Located in the Speakers’ Corner at Toronto Garlic Festival. Go to Festival Schedule.
After closing Gilead Café and Wine Bar on March 31st 2015, Jamie Kennedy shifted his focus to Prince Edward County, where he now lives on his farm, continuing his exploration of terroir-based gastronomy from this new home base.
Two incredibly rewarding seasons of the J.K. Farm Summer Dinner Series are now complete. This offering has been the flagship activity of Jamie Kennedy Kitchens’ lastest chapter, allowing Jamie to forge connections with the County’s vibrant community of winemakers and artisan suppliers, which resulted in inspiration for the series’ weekly menus. Jamie’s farm also contributed as a source of key ingredients, most notably the potatoes which helped to supply the popular french fry enterprise at markets and events in both Toronto and Prince Edward County.
J.K. Fries continue to be in high demand at events and at farmers’ markets. You can also book our fry stand for your event.
As an industry pioneer with over 40 years of experience, Jamie is available for consultation with other enterprises whose principles align with his own, to further enrich the experience of their customers.
