About Us: My philosophy has always been to inspire people to embrace the plant-based lifestyle I’ve enjoyed for 21 years, rather than targeting vegans or vegetarians. This way of eating energizes me, offers variety, and grounds me. I wake up inspired, knowing I’m not alone in seeking alternative nutrition. The market is rapidly growing, with new information constantly emerging to validate my lifestyle.
I’m Stacey Burgess, owner of Live On Chocolate Ltd. My journey began in Toronto, where my grandmother’s chocolate gift store sparked my passion for sweets. After studying design and illustration, I discovered veganism and faced the challenge of recreating my favorite treats. My raw vegan chocolate cake was a hit at potlucks, leading to a job as a dessert chef at a plant-based restaurant.
Seeking to expand my skills, I worked in non-vegan pastry shops, learning about high-volume production and presentation. I started making chocolates for friends, which grew into a small business. Despite initial setbacks, I persevered, participating in food fairs and expanding my client base. Today, I create a range of organic, plant-based desserts, including Power Puddings, cakes, and award-winning chocolates, all free from gluten, dairy, soy, corn, and eggs.
